From small beginnings in 1995, the Irish Parking Association now ranks with the representative organisations for the parking industry in other countries. We are members of the European Parking Association, and many of our members are also members of the British Parking Association.
The Irish Parking Association was formed in 1995 in order to:
- Be a forum for all car parking throughout Ireland, in order to facilitate discussion and exchange of information on professional issues at national level.
- Be a driving force in improving the image of car parking in Ireland.
- Organise lectures, conferences and workshops on professional parking.
- Co-ordinate industry relations on a wide range of policy issues affecting car parking, including car park design, staff training, quality standards, construction, finance, taxation and regulation at both local and national levels.
We are members of the European Parking Association, and many of our members are also members of the British Parking Association.
Some of our member organisations have participated in BPA and EPA events, including their annual conferences, and have been published in their journals and/or won car park quality awards or awards for their articles.
Our Board of Directors crosses the full gamut of parking, from consultancy to street parking control enforcement, from sophisticated parking technology design to parking equipment sourcing, supply and problem-solving, from local to multinational car park ownership or management.
